Cross-border energy (Workshop)

Commissioned by: Studio Europe Maastricht and Institute for Transnational and Euregional cross border cooperation and Mobility (ITEM) (2022)
Objective: Guide students during the interactive workshop on cross-border energy cooperation
The workshop is part of an exchange and excursion for students from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and FH Aachen, studying European Studies, International Business and Public Affairs. The workshop is organized by Studio Europe Maastricht and ITEM. During the workshop students dive into the topic of cross-border energy cooperation in the Euregion Meuse-Rhine. Examples of cases that are presented include the Solar Park in Herzogenrath and the closing of nuclear energy plants in Germany. Students are asked to create a ’rich picture’ or a ‘picture collage’ in groups and are asked to pitch their results. Regional Capital was asked to guide students through these processes.
In collaboration with (among others): Julia Reinold (SEM) and Pim Mertens (ITEM)
